Safety Inspection Checklist

Here at Victor Devine, we take your motorcycle's condition and safety very seriously as you deserve total peace of mind and confidence that your machine is ready to take on what lies ahead of your adventure. When your bike comes into us for any servicing work, we'll run through the following safety inspection checklist on your machine to ensure that your bike is safe and sound - then once you get it back, you know you can focus on the ride and enjoy what being a biker is all about.

• Visually check motorcycle integrity
• List non-standard fitments - check or remove as advised
• Check all fluid levels & top up as required
• Check Tyre Depth & Pressures
• Check break function & components for wear
• Check levels (including clutch), brake line routing & integrity
• Check fork seal, rear shocks, bushes, swing arm bearing
• Check all external bolts & fastenings are present & secure
• Check steering - headstock bearing, lock stops & check for obstructions/fouling, steering damper
• Check battery & alternator charge rate
• Check drive-train - tensions, wear, corrosion
• Check all switches for correct operation including horn
• Exhaust system visual check
• Check bodywork condition & fitment security
• Check frame number
• Check wheels
• Check engine running - check for coolant loss
• Check all operating are working correctly
• Check all lights
• Road test
• Fit approved number plate - only once all checks and remedial work are completed
